Hundreds protest in Basel against Israel's participation. Several hundred protesters gathered on the sidelines of the Eurovision final in Basel to denounce Israel's participation, amid the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza. According to AFP, brief clashes broke out between protesters and police shortly before the Israeli singer's performance.

A powerful song, an impressive staging. Louane made a strong case for winning over a European audience. Her song starts off piano before showcasing her vocal talents. A power ballad , as the experts say. The bold staging, with a swirl of sand to represent time, a strong theme of her song, evokes the disappearance of her mother and the birth of her daughter. The quintessence of what France has been offering for several years .
